MediCopilot is a clinical documentation and decision-support tool for qualified physicians. Please read this disclaimer carefully before using the service in patient care.
MediCopilot does not practise medicine, does not diagnose patients and is not a replacement for a physician.
Every clinical decision — diagnosis, investigation, prescription, examination, referral and follow-up — remains entirely the responsibility of the treating physician.
1. Intended use
MediCopilot is intended solely for use by qualified, licensed physicians as an aid to documenting consultations and organising clinical reasoning. It is not intended for use by patients, and it is not intended to be relied upon as the sole basis for any clinical decision.
MediCopilot is not a medical device and has not been certified, cleared or approved by any medical device regulator.
2. AI-generated content requires physician review
The following outputs are generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence and are labelled in the application as requiring physician review:
- Differential diagnoses, including the reasoning, supporting findings and findings against
- Recommended investigations (laboratory, imaging, ECG and other)
- Recommended physical examination points, phrased as points to assess
- Drug interaction information
- Management plans
These outputs may be incomplete, out of date or incorrect. They must be verified against the physician's own assessment, current clinical guidelines and authoritative drug references before being acted upon.
3. Documentation is limited to what was said
The transcript, translation, structured clinical history and clinical summary are produced strictly from what was actually spoken in the consultation. MediCopilot does not invent symptoms, history, diagnoses, medications, allergies, examination findings or laboratory results. Where information was not stated, the record shows “Not documented.”
Automatic speech recognition and translation can still make mistakes. The physician is responsible for reviewing and correcting the transcript, the translation and the structured documentation before relying on them.
4. Investigation results and examination findings
MediCopilot clearly separates AI-recommended investigations from actual investigation results, and AI-recommended examination points from findings documented by the physician. Actual results and actual examination findings are entered only by the physician. MediCopilot never generates, estimates or infers a result or a physical finding.
5. Drug interaction information
Interaction checks are run only on medications documented in the encounter or entered by the physician. Medications are never added by the system. The information provided is assistive only, may not be exhaustive, and does not replace a validated drug interaction reference or pharmacist review.
6. Emergencies
MediCopilot is not for use in emergency triage or time-critical decision-making, and it must never delay urgent clinical care. In an emergency, act on your clinical judgement and local emergency protocols.
7. Professional responsibility
By using MediCopilot you confirm that you are a qualified physician, that you will apply your own professional judgement to all content, and that you will comply with the legal, ethical and professional obligations that apply to you, including those relating to patient consent, medical records and confidentiality.
